My name is Brittney Nadler and I am a current serving Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa. For 27 months I will be teaching English to middle and high school students, integrating into my community, and working on side projects in health, girls’ education, and more.
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017 with a double major in Spanish and International Relations. I have traveled to 32 countries through work, volunteering, study, and tourism in pursuit of my dream to work in international development, specifically in the field of human rights. I have previously taught English in Panama through a summer internship with Kalu Yala and in Thailand for one year as a Fulbright Scholar.
Additionally, I have studied abroad for a semester in Granada, Spain, worked on a Caribbean cruise ship for two summers, participated in a three-week research trip to Jordan to learn about access to education for Syrian refugees in Zaatari Refugee Camp, and more. I am absolutely ecstatic to continue my international journey in Sierra Leone and cannot wait for what lies ahead.
